Round One

The white beach of Aspro was now filled with excited trainers, all waiting with their teams for an announcement that the registration period had officially closed. Well, no more waiting time! A white haired woman approached the crowd, white clothed officials walking by her sides.
Trainers! Welcome to Aitema. My name is Envy Aksoy and I will be your host, I was born in this beautiful land and I can assure you this challenge was built to share our rich history with you.
The Aitema Ridge Challenge, as we previously mentioned, is not meant to be a tournament like those commonly held through the regions. The Committee won't only evaluate performance in battle but how trainers and their teams explore the entire region and face the tasks each location asks of them. And what's the first location you will meet: the treacherous Gorgona Reef.
Known for it's beautiful waters and diverse marine life, Gorgona Reef is the opposite of a tourist attraction.

Hickory befriends a native Mantine after freeing it from tangled fishing line a few days before the round, and it is happy to return the favor by navigating through the calmer areas of the reef

As the sun sets, our trio let their new friend rest and come ashore for some much needed sleep and eat! camping's easy when you're the outdoors type

Fending off a feral pokemon in the form of a clingy Kecleon who can't take a hint. Probably needed Zippo's help to chase it off since he doesn't have the heart to be mean to it

Sweats I kinda set myself up for failure when I did a nice illustration to start with full well knowing I don't have the endurance for another two of them 8') EITHER WAY, IT IS DONE !! I love this big soft country boy, who's really enjoying himself in this beautiful setting with his best friends. Hopefully as the rounds go on, he'll actually make some human ones :'0

Dude. Why do you have to be so brilliant with these designs. Already adored the heck outta that ivysaur and now you're adding this cool as ice mantine design?? You could take any pokemon and make them look fantastic.. even the trash bag! And after I finish gushing about that design I have to comment about how beautiful your background work is to look at. You do a perfect job of blending soft and hard brushes with a focus on the hard brushes that makes everything so defined and crisp. The color choices (especially that sunset) compliment the scenes wonderfully! I will definitely look forward to seeing what you do with this guy in future rounds!
